Where are the best ready made PHP and MySQL templates for things like
shopping carts, searchable databases etc.

I have a template set up and when i edited it and saved it automatically
updated all the pages linked to it. For some reason it currently isnt
working though I can go through the modify, templates, update.

can anyone help me?

Did you move the Templates folder? Did you move the template from the
Templates folder? Do you have any other files in the Templates folder?

Those are about the only things that come to mind.

Close Illustrator, delete AIPrefs file (check FAQ topic for how to do this) and see if now it doesn't work properly.

Then I'd suggest, Sebastien, that you try an overinstall of Illustrator and see if you don't correct the problem that way. If that doesn't work, then uninstall Illustrator, be sure to have a clean system, be the System Administrator if using Win2000 or XP Pro, and be sure to manually clean all files of Illustrator CS from the system, then reinstall WITHOUT having your virus scan active and particularly if it's NORTON. Don't have anything NORTON active. See if that doesn't correct things.

Hi there:

This is going to sound a bit strange. I'm new with Dreamweaver and
work with a professional company to develop the site for my employeer.
They gave me templates to work with. We asked for changes to the
templates. They provided them.

The next thing I know, I couldn't find the new templates on the
server. They had the same name (newbuttons), but had old problems. I
didn't worry about it because the web is just a small part of my job.
I used old templates.

They were invoiceing my boss saying they had to redo pages, user error
etc. and not tell me I shouldn't be using the old templates. I asked
for a copy of the new templates. They refused. I think that they're
afraid they will loose the business we have with them.

I did a get command so that my copy of the site was current yesterday.
Now all the templates have the newbuttons associated with the name. I
did the get command yesterday (April 18) yet the file properties of
all the files have a create and modified date of April 12, 2005, 1:07
p.m. My clock is right on my computer. I was going to show my boss
that the newbutton templates had old buttons on them, and this was
deliberate on their part, but now all the newbutton templates have new
buttons. He will think I'm insane.

What I would like to know if there is any way that I can show that the
newbutton templates on the server have been newly created? I don't
know dreamweaver well enough to be able to tell the file properties of
files on the server. Or if you can think of any other way I can get to
the bottom of this, I would be grateful. The newbutton templates have
not been on the server for at least a month. So they've been billing
us for repair and user error for a long time now. I was hoping to be
able to be the in-house person for their web site.

Can anyone give me any advice? I'm using a PC with windows XP on it.

I have created a template through DW2004 MX, and uploaded it to the server.
When I open Contribute to test access to the template, it is not appearing in
the New Page Dialog box.

I have tried the following:
Make sure the template file isn't "checked out"
Stopping and re-starting Contribute
Refreshing templates (button on New Page dialogue box)
Changing location of the template file:
1. Inside a folder named Templates in the root folder (called public_html
on my server)
2. DIrectly in the root folder with all other html files
3. Inside a folder OUTSIDE the root folder
(Note: after each location change I have refreshed the templates on New Page
dialogue)
Nothing makes the template appear on the Contribute New Page dialogue.
HELP please.

Do you have Administrator privileges?

If so, go to Edit > Administer Website. Then choose your website.

Select Users and Roles. Select your name from the list of users, and then
click on Edit Role Settings...

Review the "New Pages" settings. This is where you enable whether a user can
use templates. You also need to specify if a template is a Dreamweaver
template. You can also allow certain users to only have access to certain
templates.

Yes, I forgot to say in my original post that I did check all roles (I am the administrator) and that all roles can use all templates.
