Well... the term used in the manual is usually 'argument' (as in
'variable arguments', 'arguments list' etc).
I personnaly prefer to use 'argument' for functions calls, and
'parameter' for stuff that go into an init file. But I guess no one will
shout at you for saying 'parameter' when talking about function's arguments.
