    Default Text across columns

Is there (a simple) way to flow text in say three columns, and then have one paragraph, like heading or something, flowing across all three columns, and then have text flowing in the three columns again? And doing this without creating more than one textframe?

    In a word, no.

You can use a separate text frame for a heading and you could apply text
wrap to this to force into place over the three column frame. But if you
can't do this with a single text frame for multiple consecutive stories,
because your copy will run to the bottom of the frame and back to the top
    for each column.

Your best option would be to make a table one cell wide, and paste a
three-column text frame into every other row.

Jay beat me to it, but I was going to say: in a word: Yes!

Ken, you should check out my script. I did post how to do it manually elsewhere in the forum a few months back, but it is a complicated procedure that cries out for scripting.

    So I did.
