Text autoflows only onto odd pages - Adobe Indesign Windows

I've set up a doent with two master pages as a two page spread. I've been experimenting with setting paragraph styles in the original Word doent, and somewhere in the proecess of placing the Word doent and reverting the ID doent back to a point before the import so that I can tweak things in the Word doent then re-place it, I've made some change so that I can no longer get the text to autoflow onto any but the odd pages of the ID doent. I'm still using ID 2. Clark...

Do you use master textframes? If so are the two frames on the master spread connected?

How can I be certain that they are connected?

Be sure to be in Normal View (not Preview). Select one. Next choose View > Show Text Threads. Now there should be a line going from the outbox of the first to the inbox of the other.

Actually, not connecting the frames can be a great time saver in bilingual doents, i.e. with doents with one language on the left-sided pages and the translation on the right-sided. You place with autoflow the first language text on the left-sided pages and the other language text on the right-sided pages.
