Text Frame color is always red
In InDesign CS I converted a PMaker 7 file. When I show frames they are red and when I draw a frame it is also red. This isn't true if I start with a new document; the frames are light blue then.
Is there any way to change the frame color back to light blue in the converted file? I'd like to use it as a template and red is making it difficult to see the + in the out port.

Re: Text Frame color is always red
The red indicates what layer it's on.

Re: Text Frame color is always red
Indeed. Changing the layer colour will change the frame colour, just like in Illustrator.

Re: Text Frame color is always red
Converted PageMaker files that had one layer in PM become 2 layers in the conversion to InDesign. You can double-click on the layer names and choose any color code you like. You could also move all the items from the second layer into the first one and thereafter work in a single layer (again, if you want).

Thanks all. I just discovered this a moment ago. I feel dumb but I wasn't using layers in PM so it never occurred to me.
