Text Issues
I am designing a webpage for a local librarian and I am having issues with
DreamweaverMX. The design looks great in DW, but as soon as I view in a browser
everything is screwed up. The font isn't correct at all. I don't know what the
problem is. I am using a CSS style sheet, and everything seems to look alright
on it, but obviously something is messed up. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Emma

I am using both firefox and IE... neither of them look right. These pages
aren't on the server yet, so I can't show you a URL... I really don't know HTML
that well, so I'm don't even know what I am looking for... what happens is
this. In dreamweaver, everything looks correct. The font styles and color look
good, but then I go to view in browser and all the style portions are gone... I
don't know if I didn't properly link the sites to the style sheet or what.
Thanks,

Re: Text Issues
I don't exactly know what the problem was actually... I thought that I would
try to upload my sites to the server to see what they looked like... and they
looked right. It was (still is) only messed up when I was viewing in a browser
through dreamweaver... I really don't know what the problem is or what the fix
is.. I'm guessing it is something with dreamweaver, and not with the code
though... because it works right...
The URL is www.ag.ndsu.edu/agnic/flax if you want to see my site and code.

Re: Text Issues
I looked at it inside Dreamweaver and it looked fine to me. Dreamweaver is
never going to make the page look -perfectly- like it'll render inside of the
browser because Dreamweaver uses "visual code elements" which help you by
giving you some idea of where certain items in your code are located at. (ie.
div tags, <br /> tags, etc..)
So as long as it looks okay in IE and other Mozilla browsers then this is
nothing to be concerned with. One thing you might want to do however, is use a
complete doctype and add the "type" attribute to your CSS call.
