Default text line spacing and line tool

1.) Using InDesign 2.0.2 - When aligning text (in one particular text frame)to a base grid, the text will always skip one line even though the base line is spaced at 15p, same as text. I do get a 12(12) in the font box rather than just the 12 as I do in other text frames. Have no problems in other text frame with same paragraph style.
2.) when using the line tool, the line is always created with a drop shadow and feathering, i.e. I have to go to "objects" and un-check each of those two features in order to get a plain line.
    Thanks,
    Ernst

Default Re: text line spacing and line tool

    1. Sounds like that text frame got scaled and now everything is off.

    2. You have that set as the default. If it only happens with that
document, deselect everything and then go to the dropshadow menu and
    turn it off.

If it happens on all document, close all your docs and then go to the
dropshadow menu and turn it off.
