text selection color?
Does anyone know of a way to set the color of the field
surrounding editable text when the user selects it?
(on my comp, for instance, it is always blue no matter
what text color or bgcolor i use....)

Director uses whatever has been set as the system property for highlight. You may be able to change it via some registry setting on Win and via an api call on Mac but I don't know if it would take effect immediately without a restart.
