text wrap on master pages
from a March 20 post:
"Dave Saunders - 6:53am Mar 20, 06 PST (#10 of 11)
If you have a graphic on a master page that you want to appear on every page, and you want text to wrap around that graphic on the live pages, if the text also uses frames from the master page, then there is a simple way to address the problem, although it is not obvious at first sight:
Change the shape of the text frame on the master page to give the appearance of text wrap.
All you need to do is switch to the pen tool and add points to the stroke of the text frame and then move the new points to where you need them.
Granted, this is a bit klutzy and it would be better if there were a feature that allowed a text wrap on a master to apply to the live pages without overriding, but there isn't, so this is an alternative to overriding that graphic to every page. "
I took Dave's advice and created a custom-shaped text box to simulate a text wrap. Not the best, but mostly usable. The problem I have now is that the INDENT TO HERE function (cmd-\) won't align text correctly. Any ideas?

Re: text wrap on master pages
Indent to here always takes the frame-border for the x-coordinate to measure from. A frame with a dent, arthur dent, will create a dented "indent to here".
I think your only way to go is text wraps on a rectangle, possibly on an anchored rectangle.
