Text Wrap Time Warp
Hey Y'all!
Any clues as to why it takes about 4 seconds for each character to appear if the text is being told to wrap around an object. And even if I drop the text wrap or the object the type still moves like a peanut butter river and I'm swimming upstream!

Re: Text Wrap Time Warp
There have been alot of complaints about slow text editing in this forum for AICS. Although I'm not sure this is your problem, you could try a search on this forum to see if there was any suggestions.
I don't have CS yet, so I don't know.

Re: Text Wrap Time Warp
I just read something about unchecking the preference select type by path only. Probably not your problem but you could try it while you're waiting for a real answer.

Re: Text Wrap Time Warp
Do you have Norton Anti virus software on auto protect?
Did you throw away Adobefnt.lst files? Do not throw away the Adobefnt.db by the way.
Throw away Illustrator preferences and AI pluggins cache.
Do these steps with Illustrator closed.
And as Wade always suggests, change your time zone then change it back. Then restart a few times.
Hope this will help.

Re: Text Wrap Time Warp
It doesn't happen here perhaps this is a cache problem there is a free ware called cache Out X that will allow you to empty Cache files such as the various font caches in the system folder. That might be holding things up, no guarantee thought do you use Microsoft Word?
