You can bake your textures then re-assign them to your model. I'm not sure
    direct export works.

Concerning cast shadows, the Shockwave 3D exporter won't export them.

but i think it should be possible to export more than one texture layer with
    the max-exporter.
just put your shadowmap into a texturechannel and modifie the shader with
lingo so that this texture will be used as shadowmap, should work without
    uv-coordinate problems.

i use cinema4D to make shockwave3D models and here i can go this way, not sure
if this will work with shockwave3D exporter from 3dsmax.

    well karl and hondo

    Hi

, I tried exporting the scene with texture bake but the output was not upto
    the mark b'cause

1.while exporting it was not taking the textures with it so, in the preview
    window or after exporting it
to the director it was showing my whole model as grey color

    2. After texture baking we dont consider light resources cause maps are done
with lights and shadows and all that,
So the problem encounters with the light like after exporting the area
visible to camera at the time of exporting is only
lit up and other area is darken up
Why this is so i dont know but i can conclude that, at the time of exporting
it might consider the camera visible portion
only and thats y it gets automaticaly lit up.

    BESIDES THIS,

i would like to know, when we go to author menu (which is shown at the time of
exporting , after clicking the author button.)

it shows some messege like non blin shader blaa blaa blaa ... might not look
    like you shaded in max
where as my materials are blin shaders only , i didnt used multi sub also..
still it is showing like that

    why?????

Also tell me the fundaa of shadows with lingo and all ....

in detail steps that will help me alot.

    thanks
