'There was an error opening this document. A temporary file could not be opened.'
I get this message when I try to load any PDF, and also when I try to open the help 'Reader Guide' from within Acrobat.
I'm using Acrobat 4.0, because the latest version would never load up at all, it just hung. I'm getting pretty narked off with this useless piece of software. Any ideas before I start looking for an alternative?

Try deleting your temporary files. In Win2K/XP these are found here (make sure that you have all files and folders showing)
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Temp
In Win98 I guess it would be C:\Windows\Temp
If you are using Acrobat 4 then Win2K/XP are not technically compatible.
