TIFF files crashing FHMXa

    Default TIFF files crashing FHMXa

Just downloaded and installed FHMXa on PC win2000

Importing RGB and CMYK Tiffs results into a new empty FH document results in
an instant crash of the software. This happens with all TIFFs regarding of
    size.

If other objects are created in the new document first, then I try to
import the TIFFs I get the following message: " Could not import because an
    unknown command was encountered"

Anyone else getting this? This is a brand new install and the first project
I am working on with the new version. Should I just re-install?

Do the TIFFs have an ICC profile attached? Could it be conflicting with your
    color management setup?

What happens if you set FHMXa color management to 'None'?

    Judy,

The tiff files had no color profile, that was the first thing I checked.
Color Management was set to color tables.

I uninstalled both FH9 and FHMXa and only re-installed MXa. That seems to
have solved the import problem. Not sure if having both software was causing
the conflict but FH9 was also having a hard time importing TIFF files. I
will try re-installing 9 once I've gotten some work done.

    New twist.

This morning FHMXa failed to open both the documents created yesterday. I
had to go set the color management to none in order to open the documents.
Both documents contain large numbers of linked TIFF files. None have color
profiles imbedded in them. All were created in Photoshop 6.

    This does not bode well.

    Back to FH9 for me.
