Time service reverting by 5 hours
I have a Windows 2003 server running and the time reverts by 5 hours
periodically for no apparent reason. I have not been able to determine
a pattern but it appears to be at least once an hour. I have checked
the time source and the date/time settings and they are ok. If I run
the net time command the time corrects itself as expected. This is
obviously causing some security and authentication issues that I need
to get resolved. Any thoughts?

When you run " net time /querysntp "
Is a proper time service returned? This server has access to the internet?
You could try to configure it to sync with a NTP box by:
net type /setsntp:time.windows.com
Any event IDs chirping about the time service?

Re: Time service reverting by 5 hours
These are integrated IBM servers and it turns out the setting is
coming from there. Thanks for the reply though.

Time service reverting by 5 hours
Have you checked your time setting after you boot into
setup? The time might be wrong in your bios.by 5 hours>-----Original Message-----
