Default Time to switch...from PM to ID + CS?

As a long time PM user I feel the time is fast approachin when I should make the move to ID...how easy has the transition been for the res of you chaps ( and chappesses )?

Should I go for the entire CS along with Ill and PShop?

I feel I should, but would like a little input from a few knowlegable folks.

P.S. I do qualify for the education discounts...

Then it's a no brainer. Get the entire suite. Going from PM to ID was a
    very easy transition for me.

    YMMV,

If you are going to use at least 3 of the programs then I don't see a reason why you shouldn't upgrade to the full CS now. PM to ID is easy, specially if you get the ID CS PM version. :D

What versions are you coming from? If you are fairly up-to-date, there may not be a need to get the whole suite.

However, if you foresee your educational status changing before the next CS release, get it now.

Personally, I do not recall much about the transition from PM to ID. Was this supposed to be a memorable experience?

I think so. Don't you remember all the things you lost like, No multiple un-dos, no re-dos, clipping paths, auto color when importing Word docs, etc. plus all the things you gained?
