Timing a sql statement - Microsoft SQL / MS SQL Server

If you are talking about recording the time taken to execute a sql statement, you could achieve that by having a couple of datetime variables store the datetime prior to and after the execution of the statement. You could then calculate the difference.     Explain a bit more about what you are trying to do.
    If you want to schedule the execution of SQL statements, create a job.
