    Default Tiny spaces between tables

I have a page that consist of a masthead across the top in one table , and a
verticle navigation bar and body field below the masthead in a seperate table.
The problem is a tiny thin space that appears between the masthead table and
the nav/body table. The masthead is red and the nav bar is grey, so the space
is noticable. I've verified that it isn't caused by table spacers below the
    table housing the masthead.

I didn't include spacer images so that's not the problem. Any ideas why the
tables won't meet up and how to fix the problem?

    Thanks!

The universe of possibilities is too large. Please post a link to the page.

Make sure your cell padding and spacing is BLANK and not at 0.

I teach DW at U.W. in Seattle And we Constantly run into the issue of Table
spacing and hairline spaces that cant seem to go away, once in a while It takes
some poking and prodding at the table code but after Dealing with many classes
involving tables I can say that 95% of the time it is solved by Making sure
your cell padding and spacing is 0 and not BLANK, just the opposite of what
withhisstripes posted, BUT the UW uses DW MX and not 2004 so it may be only
    related to their version.

I can say it's 100% that. Leaving them blank allows the browser to use its
default (and non-zero) values. And of course, each browser's default is
    different.
