TiPB internal modem
The modem in my 9 month old powerbook seems to be losing the ability to
connect at speeds greater than 24000 bps. In a very unscientific
experiment, I have tried it on other phone lines, so I don't believe
it's the wiring.
It has always been more sensitive to disconnection than any other modem
I've had, but it did regularly connect at >48k. Do these things
deteriorate? Can anyone suggest a test to further verify that the
problem is in the modem?
Thanks
