Tips for exporting GIF files - Macromedia Freehand

So, I have been generating line art in Freehand that I would like to export and use on a website. So far it all s. The 72 dpi GIF's i'm getting look really chopping and pixelated. Does anyone have any tips on how to get smooth looking GIF's exported from Freehand for web use? Help!!...

    Unfortunately the best tip is not to use FreeHand gif export. Best way is
    to use Fireworks since it can open FH files. Also exporting as eps and
    opening in Photoshop is a good choice. You van also Copy Special as "EPS
    for Photoshop 4/5 pixels" and paste into Photoshop. Note that Phpotoshop
    can create a new doent using Clipboard information.

    Agreed, go through Photoshop and it's Save for Web export if you can. It
    will give you much more options and control over the output. However in
    FH you probably are leaving the default setting of 0 anti-aliasing in
    the GIF export. This will give you the rough pixelized look trying
    increasing it by 1s until you are happy with the quality.
