Tips for Re-Install?
Okay, when I upgraded from XP-Home to XP-Pro it didn't take and I lost my internet connection... partitioning the Hard Disk I was able to get XP-Pro to Install correctly on/in the New partition (I have 3 XP PROs) - Figure I'd take a new computer I am building and when I have XP-Pro install there, move everything to it (looking to have better, both, graphics card and Faster CPU, more memory... ie: upgrade)
Kinda not looking forward to doing this as First install InDesign did not install at all and I had to un-install Acrobat and then move all the files to the partition to Re-Install (in order)... this goofed up the PM Plug in.
(had to remove a path from the Registry as the PM PlugIn said that I didn't have a valid InDesign -sigh)
Wanted to see if there was a new improved Install available? Or, should I just resign myself the alot of manual manipulating/installing like before?
Thanks

Re: Tips for Re-Install?
Your first mistake was trying to upgrade the operating system. While and
XP Home to XP Pro upgrade is the safest upgrade, it's still not as safe
as a clean install. Was the XP Home install an upgrade, also?
So, my advice...do a clean install of XP Pro, install any drivers and
fonts and then your applications. You should have no problems installing ID.

install of Windows XP Professional. I was even able to perform the
permitted secondary install on my laptop from a networked CD-ROM drive.
