to format text in a form( on the fly )
Hello all,
I'm interested in finding out how to format text on the fly in a form.
i.e : the user can select some text and then click on a button to make it bold.
a good example of this is to be found at :

Is this achieved through Javascript? or Asp / php.
If anyone can point me to any resources on how to achieve this please let me know
many thanks
John
