I am sorry you haven't received your certification, but this is *really* the
wrong place to make this complaint.
The support forums are user to user, with some of us developers and support
engineers chipping in where we can.

When the guy has tried all of the *right* places with no success, the
*wrong* places are all that are left.
Quite a few of us have had this issue with Macromedia, including myself, so
there is 'user to user' value in letting others know that MM are likely to
need more than a bit of persuading, and tracking down, if you actually want
your certification kit - with the possible side effect of Macromedia (well,
the certification administration part of Macromedia at least) bucking their
ideas up.

This is the 12th person I have heard from that has not recieved their pack
without a great deal of frustration and effort. Macromedia are NOT taking
this certification thing very seriously at all.

I wouldn't worry too much, employers never ususally require CF certification
(not well recognised or respected), let alone actually asks to see the
certificates. But, for your own records, you will eventually recieve them if
you persist. I know of a few cases where testtakers just gave up and never
did get a certification pack or certificate, but those who persisted
eventually got one.
Terrible as it sounds, you just need to keep kicking up a stink here before
anybody from Macromedia will take notice.

Re: To Macromedia Certification Team
Thats right, some certs are genuine, other are simply money spinners. In the
case of coldfusion its really more about saying "our product must be
important, it has a certification that goes with it". In reality, nobody
really gives two hoots about coldfusion certification (employers and such).

Re: To Macromedia Certification Team
>>since when did you know every single cf employer on the planet
Not the planet as such, just one very large country where I deal directly
with all of the big recruiting agencies. I have dealt with thousands of
employers and not one of them ever asked for coldfusion certification from a
candidate, not once, not ever. I feel this puts me in a good situation to
say what I said.
Then again, not many of them asked for coldfusion people, so i guess its not
saying much.
Not sure where such strong, and perhaps illegal, accusations are coming from>> perhaps this another example of your many attempts at fraud?
Paul. Being the author of books and such I would have thought you could
conduct yourself a little more professionally. Thats the second time in a
couple of days I have heard you accuse or otherwise insult people, one
indian guy who you didn't seem to like and now myself . I suggest you let
peopl voice their thoughts and opinions without resorting to this.
One accusation of fraud I can take as hot headedness, the next I will take
up with a solicitor Mr Hastings.

Re: To Macromedia Certification Team
nobody's being hotheaded and i think that's a fair assessment of what you've
been trying to do here. maybe i don't know what the exact legal term for all
the claims you make here, all the different persons you pretend to be, but
around here we'd also call it "buffalo pies".
as far as lawyers go, maybe the firm of M, J, I and something or other would
be appropriate? or maybe contacting telstra would help as well? or bt? or
bttelstra (wow what a combo)? or anyone of the interesting "persons" you seem
to be associated with? your logic in this matter, like the rest of your posts,
seems to be captain queeg-ish. considering you don't appear to be a real person
w/a verifiable identity, getting this to a court might be difficult.

dude, be carefull and stay away from this thing called Macromedia. don't go
for the certification, you will suffer to get your kit (supposing that you will
get it). They did not even bother to reply my emails! and this is a Macromedia
Team guy attacking others using insulting language!!! so wiered.
If you really wanna spend money on certifications then you should go for
Microsoft ones.
good luck

Re: To Macromedia Certification Team
>>all the different persons you pretend to be
I am just one person! I have two accounts and occasionally use a buddys
machine when in US, but I am one person only. When did I ever pretend to be
someone else?? What a hoot, so many of these MM staff (possibly TMM, not
sure on that one) come in here and answer their own posts asthough they are
someone else! What the heck has that got to do with me? Tell me, when and
where did I do anything like that? Furthermore, what the heck does that have
to do with any of the points I have made!?
A guy just posted below here, making a similar point to me, a guy called
"externalError' saying stuff like " dude, be carefull and stay away from
this thing called Macromedia." Is this also me!? Was Pandu, who identified
himself as being abloke from India complete with name of his company and
email address to clarify this claim of a "conspiring (frauding?) by just one
person", was he me too!?
I am indeed a real person, the remaining anonymous on the web part, however,> w/a verifiable identity>>considering you don't appear to be a real person
is true - so what? Do you struggle to see why people do that on the web? Be
real. My name is Andy and I live in Austrlia and work in US, Japan, UK and
Germany (not at the same time), my favourite color is red as I support
Liverpool FC, I have 5 kids, I am short-ish but reasonably good looking
according to just a few women. So what - can we talk about coldfusion issues
now?
Jeez, could you get anymore off topic without it being obvious you just
couldn't addres the points put forward about coldfusion itself -rememember
that? Thats what this forum is all about?

Happens everytime somebody speaks out of line. Your opinion has got to be
pro only or the censor comes in - they must feel the product is so weak even
a few whingers like myself can topple it at this point!
