TOC entries on tabs
Hi,
I need to insert on the edge of each page of a user manual the table of
content in the form of tabs (one tab per TOC entry first level).
The tabs themselves are a simple graphic in background. So I really need to
display the toc entries in a different format and options than the normal
TOC displayed on 1 page.
I would also need to highlight the tab (or more exactly the text: different
style is ok) corresponding to the current chapter on the various pages.
All this would need to be dynamic... When text moves across the pages, the
highlight would need to change as well.
I know it is pretty much asking, but can someone advise on whether this can
be done with a specific functionality within In Design 2 or 3 or if it needs
lots of programming.
Thanks for your help,
Manu

Re: TOC entries on tabs
Did anyone else read this and actually understands what the question is? I'd like to help but I'm having a hard time understanding this one.
Maybe another cup of coffee might help. :/

Re: TOC entries on tabs
I think I understood and the solution is very simple: Just set the TOC paragraph style to start in a new frame and then make the tabs a thread of text frames and connect that to the TOC frame. Make the title empty or move it to the pasteboard.
