TOC Styles
How do I go about creating a style for my TOC entries?
I've looked in the Paragraph styles but I can't seem to figure out how to make a style to setup my TOC with. What i want is like the following
1 ................. Chapter 1
2 .............. Introduction
3 ........... Getting Started
4 ................. Help Desk
5 ................. Chapter 2
etc...
Anyone know how to make a style to do this?
Thanks.

Re: TOC Styles
Are those supposed to be aligned in some fashion?
Which part of making such a style don't you understand? Just set up the appropriate tab with the appropriate tab leader?

The chapter titles are right-aligned when viewing w/ a monospaced font.

Re: TOC Styles
Is your text styled? That is, does it use paragraph styles? If not, you're going to have trouble creating a TOC anyway.
Just choose New Paragraph Style in the Paragraph Style palette pop-up and fill in the information for the style in the dialog box.
Then call for that style in the TOC dialog.
There's a lot of details, but the process is pretty straightforward.

Re: TOC Styles
Set up in the paragraph styles as Dave suggested.
Go through the tab menus to select the desired text style and so on.
Go to the Tabs menu. Set your tab marker, left, right, centered, whatever you desire there. Make sure to set a tab leader, I use a period myself. Save that paragraph style and name it TOC style or whatever you prefer.

Re: TOC Styles
Ok I have a few more TOC questions. First I have figured out how to get the specific "Headings" I want to appear in my TOC and I have all my Headings specified with a paragraph style which was relatively easy to do and setup. My problem now is creating a TOC Heading style. I'm looking through all the sections of the style options but I cannot figure how to format it the way I want it to look. For example I want the first TOC heading to be like this
CHAPTER 1 Chapter 1 Title
and then I want the other TOC Headings to be like this
2nd & 3rd Headings..............Page #
My problem is I dont know how to format or what sections to select to modify to show it like above?
Any help is appreciated

Re: TOC Styles
I just noticed but the format of the way i want those to show is not correct
CHAPTER 1 --------- Chapter 1 Title
------------------- 2nd & 3rd Headings ............ Page #
Without the "-"'s
I have figure out the 2nd & 3rd headings formatting that one was easy. The first one is where Im running into problem. Mainly because CHAPTER 1, CHAPTER 2, etc is "Heading 1" Style and then the Chapter 1 Title is "Heading 1 Desc" Style. In the Manual they appear on 2 seperate lines. Any Suggestions?
