    Default Trace tool-->Path Overlap?

    Can anyone tell me what the heck the Path Overlap option controls in the Trace tool dialog box? I'm not seeing a difference when I change the settings from None to Loose to Tighter...either that or I'm experimenting with the wrong object to trace.

    I can't find anything in Help or on Macromedia's site.

    Tracing with Overlap produces stacked shapes which may or may not be useful
    to you.

    Try this to see the difference. Draw a t-shirt shape, red fill. Duplicate
    shirt, give it a dark blue and send to back, offset from shirt to act as a
    hard-edged drop shadow. Draw a few yellow-filled polka dots on the shirt.
    Select all and Group.

    Traced with overlap, the shadow will sit on top of a larger
    shirt-plus-shadow shape. Polka dots will have a blue copy beneath the
    yellow.

    Traced without overlap, shirt shape does not include shadow. Polka dots are
    traced only once as yellow.
