I use my home and business computers.
Is it practical to transfer the license back and forth depending on the

back to office computer after working at home.

Any help with "Transfer License"?
How many times can you transfer a license between computers? Can you use it to, daily, shuttle between locations? -

Re: Transfer License
No need to transfer the license (if requirements of the EULA are met).
See Section 2 License Grants: http://www.macromedia.com/software/eula/tools/
(2b) "...the primary user of the primary computer on which the Software is
installed may make one other copy of the Software and install it on either a
portable computer or a computer located at his or her home..."
Please refer to the full EULA to determine if you meet the license agreement
for this. But in your brief description it seems to fit the EULA.
You'll have to check this as Adobe absorbs MM and this EULA may change -
hopefully not in this respect.
Hope this helps

Transfer License
I have a client with Contribute 3 on their pc for editing the website I created
for them. They now what to move Contribute to another pc. Seeing as though you
cannot have the program running con-currently on two machines, I want to
transfer the license. After reading up on it, I realised that Contribute 3,
along with Studio 8, had that feature removed. How do I transfer this program
now? I also need the serial number (neither I nor the client have the number on
record). I read that it's after the credits under Help>About but I didn't find
it there. How do I get the serial number?
Can someone please help me?
Thanks!

Re: Transfer License
Help>About starts scrolling data. If you click once, I see the serial
number (running 3.11)
I believe you can just uninstall Contribute from one machine and
re-install on the new. It would be worth verifying before you do this,
though, just to make sure you don't end up with 2 machines without
Contribute.

Re: Transfer License
Hey Ben,
Thanks for your reply. I'm also running 3.11 but I'm not seeing the serial
number when I click once on the about screen. What am I doing wrong? Also,
where can I verify that just a simple uninstall and reinstall on the other
machine would work?

Re: Transfer License
You might want to take a look at this before you move your copy of Contribute over http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_15281

Re: Transfer License
I did look at that page before posting this thread. Again, it says click on
Help>Transfer license but like I said, my clients' copy has that feature
removed. The other thing this page refers to is filling in the Transfer of
License form and aquiring a case number. Is this my only option? And what about
the serial number? I'm still struggling to get it.
Any help would be fantastic. Thanks!!!

Re: Transfer License
I just realised now that the transfer license form is intented for when you
want to transfer from client to client for example. I just want to transfer
from one pc to the other (same client)

Re: Transfer License
Hi Karen,
I'm not sure what to tell you about the serial number... mine shows
right up on the two machines I checked. As for transferring...
Try installing it on the new machine and using the old serial number (if
you can find it.) When that works, remove it from the old machine.
