transferring type from PS to Illustrator
I have an ad I designed in PhotoShop which I now want to re-do in
Illustrator. When I cut and copy text that is, say, 17 pt in Photoshop (CS), and then paste it into Illustrator (CS), the type is huge, and no longer at 17 pt. (it's something like 59 pts.) I have the preferences in both programs set to use points as the unit of measurement for type, and both documents are the exact same size. Anyone?
Thanks...

Re: transferring type from PS to Illustrator
Dave,
Point size in Photoshop is not absolute, being dependent upon the image
resolution. Within Illustrator there is no resolution reference, so it will
'assume' 72 ppi. If your text in Photoshop was set in a 300 ppi image, the
text will be approximately 4 times too large in Illustrator i.e. 12 pt. will
import at 50 pt. If you Set the type in an image at 72 ppi it will paste
into Illustrator at the correct size
