Re:translationmanager.js error using Dreamweaver MX
I have a fresh installation of DreamweaverMX 6.1 on a fresh installation of WindowsXP Pro with no other software running, generous RAM & a PentiumIII PC & I'm getting exactly the same error that was first reported here in 2002. I'm astonished there has been no fix from Macromedia.
When I open any of my Fusebox index.cfm pages, which include as many as 100 cfincludes, DWMX grinds away for a long time & finally says, "A script in file c:\Program Files\Macromedia\DreamweaverMX\Configuration\Trans lators\TranslationManager.js has been running for a long time. Do you want to continue?" Clicking No does nothing--the only way out is a force quit.
Let's issue a fix, MM. This error is repeatable & well-documented.

Re:translationmanager.js error using Dreamweaver MX
LONG LIVE HOMESITE!!!!
If you are strictly hand coding web pages and not using the WYSIWYG stuff in Dreamweaver, Homesite works best as it doesn't try to do any parsing or reading of the includes.

Re: translationmanager.js error using Dreamweaver MX
LilloMedia suggests going to Dreamweaver's Preferences (either by pressing <Ctrl> + <U> or by going to the Edit menu ==> Preferences), selecting the Invisible Elements category, unchecking the Show Contents of Included File checkbox, and pressing the OK button.
