Transparency (blending) doesn't act as expected
Hello,
I'm busy laying out a catalogue which will be colour coded per page.
To simplify the layout process, I have created one layer with all the layout elements in various shades of grey, with the idea of laying another layer on top of it set to 'color' filled with the desired fill colour (so that it can be changed on the fly on request).
Being a long time photoshop user I'd expect the shades of grey to become shades of the fill colour, but this doesn't seem to work.
After googling for a solution I did manage to find that setting 'Transparency blend space' to RGB solves this, which it does on screen, but not when exporting to a PDF - it complains about output colour space differing from transparency colour space, which is of course the case.
Is there any easy solution to this? or should I consider another way to layout the page?
I'm using Indesign CS by the way.
Thank you in advance,
Robin

Color coding? Do you mean that you will use a different sheet color or spot color on each section?
If using a spot color, create a spot color and apply that color to your grayscale bitmaps. If you want to change the color later, simply redefine the spot in your swatches palette.
