Transparency in Freehand MX - Macromedia Freehand

Hi All, I'm doing a basic transparency in Freehand MX -- adding a transparency effect to a white circle, to make it see-through. The problem is, when I add the effect, the edges of the circle become soft, like they're blurred. Does anyone know a what to use transparency with clean, sharp edges? Thanks, TS...

    TS,
You can use a lens fill instead of basic transparency. In the object properties panel, select your fill (or add a fill) and change the drop-down from basic to 'lens', choose white for the color, and set the lens mode to 'transparency, and choose an opacity.
