and Join, won't this work? It also works if you shift-option-select the end
segments of the paths you want to join.
On a related note, I've noticed that the FHMX knife tool is making much
cleaner cuts than previous versions. In FH9 and previous, when you cut a
closed path, FH would move one of the points slightly and add a curve handle
that created a little 'hook' to try to match the previous path.
I'm very happy to see points stay where they should. Thanks, Macromedia.
