How can I get correct transparency? When using .png files, the trancparency doesn't render correctly.
Please help me I'm getting sick of it.

Dunno exactly your problem but recently I saw a thread of people having
troubles with PNG. Try using tiff format. It seems that works
flawlessly. No need to LZW compress it as Director will use it´s own
    compression later.

That's right, alpha channels work well in SW3D with TIFF. So does a PSD file
as you can import them straigth into Director.

    - The hint about TIFF has been tested for a 32 bit texture with an 8 bit
    alpha channel mapped before export.

    - I import a PSD when I want to import separately a texture with alpha
    channel in Director.
