Re: transparent ad
You need a 3rd party host such as, Flash talking;Tango zebra or Eyeblaster to do the ads you want.

Re: transparent ad
Do a search for rich media for additional info. Most of the 3rd party options
provide components to ease the design process.
I'd like to add:

Re: transparent ad
Do you host just the ad on the third party server, or do you have to host your whole site there to do this?

Re: transparent ad
DGoerges, if you have control of the page that the ad is hosted in, then you
don't have to used a 3rd party vendor for these types of ads. You only need to
implement it using wmode, though there have been performance issues with that,
depending on what type of animation you are doing. Otherwise, if you are
submitting an ad to a site that is hosted elsewhere... say.. cnn.com,
yahoo.com, etc. then you need to talk to one of those vendors. Once you have a
contact set up, you can get the space bought and they will assist you on
delivering the ad and posting it.

Re: transparent ad
You can also use a company called EyeWonder (www.eyewonder.com). Their Flash
component is by far one of the most advanced tools in the Industry and is free
to download. It is a direct plug-in to the Flash authoring environment and is
(at least as far as I know) the only tool that can publish rich media ads
within the Flash IDE (ie, not having to use a separate tool to publish to the
company).
