Transparent background for div?
Hello, all. Is it possible to have a div with *just* the background
semi-transparent (opacity: 50%)? I know how to do the whole div, but
wondered if it's possible for the background to be somewhat transparent.
Thanks.

Re: Transparent background for div?
Not cross-browser. However, you can do this in SOME browsers using
the -moz-opacity filter in CSS.

Re: Transparent background for div?
Thanks, Murray. I've tried that, but it makes the whole div
semi-transparent. Maybe if I put the -moz-opacity on items within the div,
and set it to no transparency, that might do the trick.

Re: Transparent background for div?
Oh - you only want PART of the layer to be semi-transparent? Then nest
another div inside and use that nested one....

Re: Transparent background for div?
Thanks, Murray. That's a very good idea, and I'll set the transparency to 0
on the inner div.
