    Default Transparent Background in Tables?

    Hey All,

I've got a table and I'm trying to make it slightly more opaque to be able to
read the text better. I want to use my CSS to create a colored background, then
make it a bit transparent (maybe 50%). I want to avoid altering the background
or putting the background in the table. How would I go about doing this? Is
there a "transparent" command with CSS's? I'm still pretty new to them, so I
don't really know. Any help would be great.

    Thanks,
