Default Transparent bounding box won't export with .gif

    Hi,
In Illustrator 10, I used to use a transparent bounding box (no fill, no stroke) to delineate where I want the edges of my graphic to be when I export art as a .gif file, even if the artwork itself did not go all the way to the edges. (This is so all my graphics have the same height and width, even if the artwork is different sizes). This doesn't seem to work in CS -- in the Save To Web dialog box, it ignores my bounding box and snaps to the edges of the artwork.

Does anyone know a way around this?? It's driving me crazy, and I have to go back to v10 every time I need to work on one of these graphics!

I'm using Illustrator CS (and Illustrator 10) on a Mac running 10.2.

    Thanks in advance,
    Katy

Select your bounding box and go to Object - Crop Area - Make (AI CS) or Object - Crop Marks - Make (AI 10), and then Save for Web.
