was just playing with grayscale tif with an alpha channel and noticed that if i import to MXa a grayscale tif with an empty(white) alpha channel and mark both ´display alpha channel´ and ´transparent´ on the object panel - grayscale tif will display as true(not bitmapped) transparency in likeness of Quark and InDesign.

has anybody used it in print/prepress workflow?

when importing CMYK tiffs with an alpha channel, MX clips masked area off, but changes underlying color when printed to PDF so that pictures rectangle remains visible.
