Transparent Images
I'm using FW MX to make up some menu images - rectangles with type - and
want the text to be opaque and the background to be semitransparent, so the
image behind the menu image will appear fogged.
The pngs LOOK semitransparent in FW, but when I bring them into DW they turn
all opaque. This happens even when the background is perfectly clear in FW.
Is there a way to get what I want with FW, or is it back to the drawing
board?

Hi, Tom!
There's a Technote http://www.macromedia.com/support/fireworks/ts/documents/transpop.htm which may be worth checking out!
Hope it helps!

Transparent images
Is it possible in FreeHand 9 to make transparent images? One of the things I am
constantly asked to do is to take a logo and add it to a colored background
page in a DTP program.. I have been using PhotoShop 7?s export transparent
image function, but this always comes out looking bitmaped or just plain ugly.

Re: Transparent images
Assuming you have created the logo in Freehand, just export the logo from Freehand as an EPS. It will then have a transparent background when imported into your DTP program.
