Trial Period = 0 days
Just installed Director MX2004 and it says my trial period has expired. Tried
to call customer support, but, their voice message says that they don't do
phone support for trial versions (which seems odd to me since that is going to
be the basis for any potential purchase...at least in our case)
I don't suppose there's a way to resolve this? It would be a big hassle to
install it to a different computer just for evaluation (and would likely not
get evaluated very well if that were the case).
Thanks for any help you can lend

I'm afraid that I can't directly answer your question - you may have to wait> Just installed Director MX2004 and it says my trial period has expired.
for a representative to know for sure. I can say that the trial application
attempts to connect to macromedia when you start it - another poster earlier
on today has said that their trial expired after one day and that their
firewall was blocking this attempted connection. If it is the case that the
trial expires when it fails to connect to the mother ship then it is possible
that this is your problem too. You could try to take a look at your firewall
settings in that case though, traditionally, when Macromedia trials expire,
they stay expired.

Well.. we don't block any outbound connections from our desktops...so, I'm
sure this is not the problem
[q]traditionally, when Macromedia trials expire, they stay expired.[/q
Well.. that's unfortunate, but I expected as much. It would be difficult for
them to re-enable my trial period without divulging too much about the process.
I was mostly just hoping that a bunch of people had the same problem and there
would be some kind of patch or whatnot coming. Alas, doesn't look like its
going to happen
