Trouble Inserting Page Spreads
I always have a real hard time inserting page spreads into a document. What am I doing wrong?
Say I have a 20 page magazine document. If I want to insert a new spread after page 3, say, no matter whether I use the Insert Page pulldown, or try to drag out a spread, it always inserts than next to the previous spread creating 4 pages across, rather than after the spread as a new spread. Even if I add them at the end, I can't seem to slide them up as a new spread. Still puts them to the side of the previous spread, rather than as a new spread.
Only way I can do it right is to whipe out all the pages, and have it add all new spreads, but that's not always practical.
Can someone help?

Re: Trouble Inserting Page Spreads
have had the same problem. a simple workaround is to duplicate a spread instead of adding new spreads.

Re: Trouble Inserting Page Spreads
Yeah but I want a clean master spread. TYhe whole process seems really buggy. I have to add the spread at the end of the document (you have to say "end of document", not after a specific page number) then go to "move pages" and tell it where to move them. If you try to drag them it puts them in the wrong place. Real pain in the ass to do what should be such a standard process. I can't believe that's what you have to do. Figure there must be some setting I haven't found.

Re: Trouble Inserting Page Spreads
Bob
Although that works for a document that is set to facing pages, it does not work for a document that is not facing pages but has spreads (ie, two pages that have been set top "keep spread together").
Is there a reason why not?
Cheers
