Trouble loading administrator/index.cfm page--i am askedto save the page
Please help....i've been stuck for days on this problem...
Basically, I installed coldfusion and at the end of the installation, it told
me that port 51010 was blocked. So, i tried to manually open the port by
turning off my firewall and re-installing CF. But it wouldn't work. Port 51010
is still not "listening", when i checked using netstat.
Also, when i try to load the localhost/administrator/index.cfm page, i am
asked to save the file...i guess it is a result of this port being blocked. I
would appreciate anyone's help on this matter....its very urgent!!
thanks

Re: Trouble loading administrator/index.cfm page--i amasked to save the page
Are you trying to run this on your development machine or have you installed this on a server? The more you can tell us about your OS too will help.

Re: Trouble loading administrator/index.cfm page--i amasked to save the page
If you are being asked to save the page, I am guessing your webserver doesn't
recognize the .cfm extension to send to CF for processing. If CF did not
complete the installation, it probably did not configure your webserver, you
may need to do this manually.
If I remember correctly, CF offers several installation options, if you don't
take the J2EE route, it may not need the 51010 port. Although there I am not
sure 100%, it's a been a very long time since I installed CF from scratch.

Re: Trouble loading administrator/index.cfm page--i amasked to save the page
Hi
what web server you are using?
actually this problem you will get because of the web server you are using
is not recognised your .cfm .
for this to work you need work configure your IIS to recognise the .cfm pages.
open IIS admin there you need to add the .cfm files .
