Trouble opening InDesign 2.0 files in CS2 (for PC) - Adobe Indesign Windows

I recently installed CS2. Now, when I try to open old InDesign files (2.0) I get the following error message: "Adobe InDesign in shutting down. A serious error was detected. Please restart InDesign to recover work in ay unsaved InDesign doents." I have tried both double clicking the file, and opening the file from within InDesign. I did find the issue in the Support Knowledgebase, but it was for a MAC. I am on a PC running Windows XP....

Do you get this with all ID2 files? What fonts are use in them and are those still available?

I think there was one or 2 files I was able to open, but that's it. Fonts are all adobe fonts, and yes are still available.

Could you e-mail me a simple ID2 doc that does not open in CS2? Just to check if it opens here ok. Click on my username for my e-mail address.

    Julie,

A first report: when I try to open the sample files, CS2 crashes here too. But if I first open them in ID CS, save them as CS-file, then I can open these CS-file in CS2. This would be the easiest route if you have ID CS.
