Default Trouble Publishing Website

I am thoroughly frustrated. My web host uses FTP. I've
read several tutorials, and am still having trouble
publishing my website. In Using The "Web Publishing
Wizard", I type in my URL - "www.myname.com" and get an
error message "the web wizard could not interpret the
postinfo file on the server." THEN When exporting as web
page, i clicked on add/modify FTP location to add my ftp
url. when i try to double click on the new ftp location i
get an error message "cannot connect to the FTP server on
this computer named www.myname.com - the folder
ftp://www.myname.com isn't accessible. WILL SOMEONE
PLEASE HELP ME!

Default Re: Trouble Publishing Website

Don't use the Web Publishing Wizard, publish with Publisher. I'm assuming
you are using Pub 2002, so I strongly recommend you look at my uploading
with 2002 at www.davidbartosik.com/ppt.htm - it walks you thru uploading in
both ftp and http and provides the details that you need to know. One of the
details it points out is that you need to verify with your host what your
ftp and http uploading url's are - never assume they are the domain name.
