Trouble Updating
On multiple macs in my office, I have been trying to install the 7.0.8 upgrade. The upgrade begins to download, and then I receive an error stating that the file is outside of the date range for the installer. What does this mean, and how do I fix it?

Re: Trouble Updating
I have an unrelated question (sort of) in this area. I downloaded the 7.0.8 upgrade for Acrobat Standard 7.0.7, but I do not want to install it because of several postings that I have seen regarding problems with it. Now, my problem is that, each time I startup Acrobat I get a dialog box stating that I have an unfinished installation pending. How do I turn this off? I have disabled the automatic update feature, but I am still getting this error.

It means it's the wrong update, the update has already been applied, or you're trying to apply it to the wrong version of Acrobat (like a beta version)

Re: Trouble Updating
The title of the dialog box is "Updates Pending". The text of the dialog box is:
Adobe Acrobat has not finished installing one or more updates.
Would you like to resume installing these updates?
I click on "No" and it goes away. However, the very next time that I open Acrobat, it pops up again. How do you turn this off? I do not want to install the update.

Re: Trouble Updating
The problem is most people on this forum do not have a pending update -
so it's hard to know what its called ...
I would look at the bouncing icon in the dock and then spotlight the
name and remove ....
Then turn check the Acrobat version (Acrobat [menu] and ABOUT ACROBAT)
and see what version you DO have ...
