Default Trouble with Acrobat Pro 6 and 7 forWebCapture -After move to Panther.

On Jaguar I had superb results with capturing web pages to PDFs from both version 6 and 7 of Acrobat Pro but after I moved to Panther ( I am at 10.3.9 ) they don't even come close.

A web page in the past that might occupy 2 PDF pages now takes 10 or 12. Rather than looking like a PDF version of the web page with its content and interface, instead looks as if it has been stretched out vertically, all of the page elements that were in horizontal position relationships are now, one at a time, one after another down the page in a vertical relationship. It makes it unreadable and way to long in pages.

After installing (clean, on erased hard drive partition) Panther from my disk, I then went through all of Apple's software updates until I was at 10.3.9. I then installed the new font manager and all the fonts, I then did a brand new install of both Acrobat Pro 6 and 7, in that order. Everything else works great, no problems.

The one thing that came from the old OS was my User/folders that hold the preferences, Acrobat User Date, Application Support, my external .js scripts, etc. I am not sure why I think this but I suspect something in these folders and files is the culprit. And I have not heard of an incompatibility with Panther and Acrobat Pro. On the other hand, I get superb and accurate results from using the print dialog and printing to PDF while I am in Safari.

I have been through all of the of the Preferences and settings I can think of for Acrobat, both versions, but I really have no idea where this problem is originating from and since it is affecting both versions in the same way I am going to assume that it is something more global in nature.

Boy I could really use some help, this is one big drag.

Jon, I really appreciate your response, I desperately need this ability back.

I am not sure how answer exactly...I, on occasion, change the oreintation. I have the Scale options, below, both checked and set to 70%, I believe that is the default.

Much of this section of Acrobat is ill-explained, other than the obvious orientation I am not sure what the impact of some settings should be so I have left them alone. The problem with this is that if any have been changed by accident I wouldn't know it yo fix them.

The problem seems to be a mis-rendering problem in Acrobat. I am not sure how to get it back to the way it was when it worked correctly.

It is hard to explain what the results look like. A site page that I was trying to do is...
