Trouble with navigation pop-up menu (Behaviors tab)
Are there any known problems with creating pop-up menus via the Behaviors tab.
I have MX2004 and the other party has DW 8 bundle. I cannot see the code he
put in for the cascading menu, but I can use it propertly in IE. When I put in
code, the menu does not work. After I close out of the page, I can no longer
see the menu info I entered in the Behaviors tab but he can (in DW8). But he
gets a javascript error
While executing inspectBehavior in Show Pop-Up Menu.htn, th e follwoping
Javascript error....
Type Error:T.update is not a function
Thanks.

Yes. Millions of them. Just go to the DW General Discussion forum and> tab.
search for "pop-up" in the subject or the body of the message. The problems
are related to the poor implementation and lack of flexibility of the menus
themselves. There are other much better ways -
Check the uberlink and MacFly tutorials at PVII

and the Navbar tutorial/articles at Thierry's place

Or to get it done fast, go here -

His site cache is corrupted. He can try this simple fix -> While executing inspectBehavior in Show Pop-Up Menu.htn, th e follwoping

Quit DW.
Find this folder -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
or on Mac -
/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver
8/Configuration/MacFileCache-*.dat
and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?
