I purchased Macromedia Flash MX last year, but am having problems
mastering the steep learning curve just to achieve some very simple
effects for my professional, business website. So, I bought a book
with accompanying CD-ROM called "50 Fast Flash MX Techniques" by Ellen
Finkelstein, but I'm having trouble with that, too. You experienced
Flash authors can look through at least 65 sample pages of the book

Basically, ALL I am trying to do right now is to achieve Technique
Five in Chapter One on Page 19, "Disolve a Vector into a Bitmap" and
Technique 14 in Chapter Three on page 63, "Animated Text Warping."
These look like very quick, simple things to do IF you actually know
how to use the program, which I have been unable to self-teach myself
yet.

And see if you can achieve the "Disolve a Vector into a Bitmap"
technique using the photograph of me on the home page, and then see if
you can likewise achieve the "Animated Text Warping" with the static
HTML title text under my company name on each of the seven or eight
pages linked to directly from the home page, using a typeface similar
to what you will currently see. I'd like to get some "motion" in each
of those pages as they load, and it probably wouldn't be hard for
someone who knows what they're doing. I can only afford to pay a
little right now, but I'll give you credit by name, and it WILL help
your name get noticed by all sorts of important people, I assure you.
