A USB external tuner. ATI and Hauppage both make them, as well as one
or two lesser known models.

Re: TV on a Laptop?
I have a MyTV unit that plugs in the USB port. It works fine as a TV
tuner, not as good as a capturing device (big file size). my computer
is an ibook, and I need an imic to import the audio.

Re: TV on a Laptop?
There are a lot of USB devices that require that you install the drivers
BEFORE connecting the device for the FIRST time, and if you don't do
that, that will probably never work.

On a PC if you plug in a device like that you can be in a situation
where the device will never work. A Mac does not remember failure like
Windows does, so you can unplug it, install the drivers and then plug
it in again and it should work. (For a Mac, not a PC.)

bad in recording. MyTV is good for recording but clumsy in watching.
