I'm trying to make my Hauppauge WinTV 34xx series tv card work properly in
Kubuntu (2.6.12-10-386) using tvtime.
The picture is sort of ok, the sound likewise, but tvtime is stuck on the
channel last viewed in Windows.

As I have Europe-based cable-tv I have been advised to use the
tvtime-scanner app. It appears to scan and detect a signal allright, but
there is no output to the stationlist.xml file, even though I have proper
read/write permissions to the file.

What am I doing wrong?
