Twain 5 problem
I just installed Photoshop Elements 2 and updated drivers for my Epson Perfection 1250 scanner. I can't access the scanner from PE2. Error reads: Could not open the TWAIN source. Make sure there is a valid source for your scanner in the TWAIN Directory found in the Window Directory.
I use WinXP.
Any help appreciated.

Try reinstalling your TWAIN driver and rebooting.

I use a Perfection 2400 with both PS and Elements and have no problems with the Twain source. Did you uninstall the old drivers first? Are you using the latest driver from the Epson site? You might also try disconnecting the scanner and reconnecting so that the system can re-detect it.
